Overall review of our second full day tour with Greyline Tours.

We were picked up from the centre of Auckland; this tour was also one of those multi-stop tours. We had three destinations we were going to visit today on the north island of New Zealand.

We got on the bus, and we were given our morning snack to eat on our way to our first destination. The coach was massive and very luxurious, retractable seats (perfect for a little nap), fully air-conditioned and it even had a toilet at the back too.

Our first destination was Waitomo Caves; the Caves are a village and system of caves forming a major tourist attraction in the northern King Country region of the North Island of New Zealand.

We got back on our coach and listened intently as our driver told us all about the history of the King country we were driving through. As we ate our complement lunches, we got a Large chicken salad wrap, a carton of juice and a piece of what looked like homemade carrot cake. It was very delicious and not at all what I was expecting.

Our next stop was the Agrodome in Rotorua it was quite a drive but it was a cool, we got to see the sheep shearing, a sheep dog rounding up some lambs and we got to feed the animals at the farm too.

We then got back on the coach, and we made our way to our next destination, this next place was possibly my favourite destination. Te Puia is New Zealand’s living Maori cultural centre. Situated in the Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, Te Puia’s 60-hectare site is home to the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute also.

It was a fantastic day and as we got onto the coach we were presented with another snack for our long journey back to Auckland. It was a little sandwich with a mixture of four handmade little cookies. Yummy and perfect treat for the trip back to Auckland.
