Welcome to our page all things AUSTRALIA, this country is part of the continent Australasia, which consists of the islands surrounding and the other big country nearby New Zealand. Although Australia is equivalent to the size of Europe as a whole there are only 23 million people that live there. Most of which live along the east, and south east coast. Going from Adelaide in the south going up and round up towards Cairns. You do have a city on the west coast called Perth which is big for surfers.
The currency used is the Australian Dollar (AUD $), you will find the Australian Dollar hold up against many of the worlds currencies due to amount brought into the country is more than the amount they spend on imports, roughly a $40 BILLION difference and this makes Australia the 19th largest economy for export in the world.
Transport is good across Australia however you will have to look at each individual state to find out prices and transport links. For example in Queensland, you can get yourself a GoCard which after a certain number of trips that week the rest of the trips for the remainder of the weeks are FREE!!! You will however have to spend around $60 to get those free additional trips that week.
The best time of year to visit is during the summer months, this is September through to March (due to being in the southern hemisphere). You will find however, much like yo would expect the temperatures will vary vastly whether you are on the coast or slightly inland as well as if you are in the Cairns (north) or Melbourne (in the south).
The major Airports include Sydney, Brisbane, Cairnes, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
