They serve a great mix of drinks and unfiltered beer straight from the tank to your tanker. La Choza, is the authentic Mexican street food served fresh every day and precisely the reason we visited.
The pub is situated just on the outskirts of London Road, for Brighton dwellers it’s a rather convenient as it’s not fully in town, easily accessible by bus but I can see those of you who are coming from out of town, it maybe a difficult to not only find but to park too.
Food Quality
Mmmmmmm imagine the best Mexican food you’ve ever tasted and then go here, it will knock your socks off. We all have Quesadilla, and they were awesome, perfectly crisp with a gooey, oozy cheesy centre, yum I had spicy squash, sweet potato with delicious pieces of feta with the green tomorrow salsa. Oh, my days it was to die for, well I thought that until I had desert.
Desert consisted of freshly made churros with the most sumptuous chocolate sauce. Yep, I died and went to heaven a little; I didn’t have any concerns or complaints at all.
Value for Money
Well for my mains and dessert it was a massive total of £11.50. Yep, I couldn’t believe it myself; it was a great reminder that you can still get great food in Brighton without it costing the earth. I have to say though the booze price line is entirely on par with Brighton central prices, but you do get a bargain with the food.
Atmosphere
This pub has a great atmosphere, the interior is very fitting with the artistic Brighton scene, the music is great, and the staff are amicable. If not a little tiny bit blind, haha I don’t mean it it’s just they asked me for Id. Yep, this 30 years old got asked ID in this beautiful place, Woop woop.
