I started travelling because I needed to feel again. To remind my self that if you want something bad enough you have to fight for it. I believe we live in a world that has so much beauty to offer and to discover that even if I had a thousand lives or mountains of money I wouldn’t have the time to see it all. Travelling makes me smile, dream and believe that everything is possible. This is how my adventure in Iceland began.
…if you want something bad enough you have to fight for it.
Known as the “Land of Fire and Ice,” “the land of Northern Lights” or “the land of Vikings,” Iceland is a tiny island in the North of Europe. Not knowing if what you see is reality or a Game of Thrones movie set, this country is just jaw-dropping. A fairy tale land which offers you dreamy, stunning and full of colour landscapes.
Last year I had the chance to visit this amazing country. After seeing the Northern Lights dancing in the sky, wondering through lava fields, listening to the silence at Jökulsárlón, or just trying to capture with my eyes the beauty that this country has to offer, I felt so lucky. Ever since I began travelling I wanted to go to Jökulsárlón and without realising it, I was there. At that moment, for me, time stood still.
Being face to face with icebergs I felt I had the entire world at my feet. I was just smiling and trying to imprint on my retina and in my memory this beautiful view that was in front of me. That was the moment when I started to believe that dreams do come true.I won’t forget a single moment of my first visit there. It’s something I can’t quite explain, but never before had I felt so much awe and wonder…
