Ugh okay, so we had to leave where we were staying. It left us with no option than to find some emergency accommodation. After searching online for cheap accommodation, we decided to opt for a slightly more expensive option, than the cheapest hostel and we found the Y Hotel, City South. They have two in Sydney, and we stayed at the city south one, and it was complete salvation for us.
Okay so our expectations weren’t high but we were blown away, to be honest, we just wanted a bed to sleep in we had been in the car all day, and we just wanted to lie down. Even though we had to wait half an hour when we got there to check in as there was no one on the desk, we were still delighted with the room we got.
It was small, but it gave us everything that we needed, a shower, a fridge, a double bed and a TV. Excellent we were drained and having everything at our fingertips was just what we needed. The bed was comfortable, and we both got a good night sleep, and the complimentary continental breakfast was good too.
The breakfast was fresh every day, a selection of different bread, cereals, milk and juices and hot drinks, perfect for any travellers needs in the morning.
Okay so it was a little rough around the edges, I’m not going to lie but it really did have everything we needed and for three nights in the centre of Sydney for just £150 for the two of us was perfect and we would happily stay there again.
