Marzano Italian Is on the corner of Double 6 Street in Legian (Kuta). Lots of parking for motorbikes on the main road but no real parking for cars, though so that I would suggest a taxi drop off.
Food Quality
They have their pizza oven and have an enormous, diverse menu of everything Italian. I started. My Bali favourite Watermelon Juice, it was incredibly sweet; I think it had sugar syrup in it. Which is annoying when it said on the menu 100% fruit!
Lee also went with his favourite and had an iced Chocolate Cream, also incredibly sweet until he mixed the cream in and then it was better, quite unusual.
As we were at, well what seemed like a traditional Italian restaurant with a wood-fired oven, it would be rude not to indulge in and proper pizza.
We ordered two to share a Margarita And what they called a Robe, which had a topping of ham, pork sausage, and hot salami. Oooo they were magnificent, definitely a proper slice of Italy in the middle of Bali.
Value For Money
This place is on the more expensive side for Bali, still a lot cheaper than back home in England. But our meal with drinks came to about fifteen pounds and for the quality. The food we got was great but in the general scheme of things, it is pricey against its local competitors.
Atmosphere
This place was busy, busy, busy; they were turning over covers of tables like there was no tomorrow, and it’s clear to see why. The food was good and you know it’s authentic when you’re surrounded by Italians having dinner too.
It was also very cool in there, plenty of fans were on, and it needed it as there must’ve been about sixty/ seventy people there, and it was a relaxed environment.
