Boulanger Patissier, our First French Patisserie

Well, guess what, the sugar monster inside of me was in her pretty little element walking through the streets of Paris. Stunningly crafted pastries just sat in the window displays like delicate morsels of edible artwork. But of course, this was a very scientific post for ‘look at our world’, and I just had to purchase one for you guys.

The patisserie was on our Path straight from the Louvre to the Eiffel tower. Okay so it is a stupidity long road but remember, tiny Morsels of delicious await you at the end. Plus they are open on descent hours on a Sunday. I was slightly worried that because we’re walking around on a Sunday, I would miss out but alas my valentine’s day was complete.

Food Quality

I chose an open eclair with a vanilla cream pastry with florets of white chocolate and fresh raspberries, oh my dear lord! It was heaven, everything I expected and more. It was delicious and everything I had built it up to be in my head.

Value for Money

Well me being me, I have to consider the price. I can’t help it now cheaper isn’t always better, but it is a way that helps us on our journey. So I think the patisserie was around €3 Euros (considerably less expensive than some of the others on offer), but it was an amazing regardless of it being cheaper in the showcase.

Atmosphere

This relatively small shop was heaving, it was super busy and bursting with people buying bread, sandwiches, cakes and not small amounts either. They were very popular and to be honest with what I tasted I can see why. My favourite part though was the way they packaged my pastry up; they made the cutest pyramid wrap out of a single piece of paper. This place was an excellent experience through and through and one I would recommend.
